Russia — active since at least 1982A shortwave frequency at 4625 kHz has broadcast a monotone buzz almost without interruption since at least 1982. Occasionally the buzzing stops and a voice reads out names and numbers in Russian. No official explanation has been given. Listeners have been logging it for decades. The station is still active.
